The number of 5G subscribers of Viettel Hai Duong network increased nearly 2 times compared to Tet Giap Thin 2024.
As of January 22, out of a total of 1.2 million Viettel Hai Duong mobile subscribers, nearly 60,000 subscribers had registered for 5G packages, an increase of nearly 2 times compared to the end of 2024, and a 6-fold increase compared to mid-October 2024 - the time Viettel commercialized 5G services in Hai Duong.
With VinaPhone Hai Duong, this network has not developed packages specifically for 5G subscribers. Therefore, subscribers using 4G packages only need to enable the 5G feature on mobile devices that support 5G technology to access.
As for MobiFone Hai Duong, according to a review, there are currently nearly 35,000 mobile subscribers using devices with 5G access features, accounting for about 16% of the total number of mobile subscribers in the province of this network. These subscribers can access 5G waves as soon as MobiFone Hai Duong deploys the installation of 5G broadcasting stations.
The province currently has 72 5G broadcasting stations, including 70 stations of Viettel Hai Duong and 2 stations of VinaPhone Hai Duong. The 5G stations are mainly concentrated in Hai Duong city with 51 stations, Cam Giang with 13 stations, Kim Thanh with 4 stations, Thanh Mien with 2 stations, Chi Linh city and Tu Ky with 1 station each.
For MobiFone Hai Duong, by early February 2025, 10 5G stations will be installed in Hai Duong city and Cam Giang.
To ensure smooth internet infrastructure during Tet, network operators have arranged technical staff to be on duty 24/7 and proactively developed plans to respond to network incidents. Network operators also said that 5G broadcasting stations operate on high-tech platforms, so the possibility of incidents occurring is almost zero.
If an incident occurs, the management system will notify the station location, and the technical department will immediately carry out the troubleshooting and response process.
According to network operators, the basic 5G network speed can reach from 700 Mbps - 1 Gbps, 10 times faster than 4G and the latency is almost zero. 5G waves can simultaneously serve the network access needs of hundreds, thousands of mobile devices.
