Thu Vinh and Quang Huy continue to win medals at the Asian shooting tournament.

After passing the qualifying round on the afternoon of February 12 with the first place result in the women's 10m individual air pistol event, Trinh Thu Vinh entered the medal round on the morning of February 13. The Thanh Hoa shooter's opponents were shooters from Japan, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, and Taiwan (China).

In this round, Thu Vinh dropped to fourth place. In the decisive round, due to a mistake by the Kazakhstan athlete, the Vietnamese shooter seized the opportunity, rising to 215.9 points, thereby winning the bronze medal in the women's 10m individual air pistol event.

Previously, male shooter Pham Quang Huy also won a bronze medal in the men's 10m individual air pistol event with 216.9 points achieved in the final.

In addition, Quang Huy, Lai Cong Minh and Nguyen Dinh Thanh won a silver medal in the men's 10m air pistol team event with 1,722 points.

On February 12, Trinh Thu Vinh and Pham Quang Huy won the first gold medal for the Vietnamese team in the 10m pistol mixed team event.

Thus, in just 2 days, the Vietnamese shooting team won 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal and 2 bronze medals at the 2025 Asian Shooting Cup.

The 2025 Asian Shooting Cup will take place from February 9-22 in Thailand. The tournament will bring together 319 athletes from 24 countries. This year, Vietnam has 18 shooters participating.
