On January 27, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inspected the implementation of the 500kV circuit 3 Quang Trach - Pho Noi transmission line project.
Leaders of Power Transmission Corporation inform about the project implementation status at the site
Joining the working delegation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh were representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, leaders of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), the National Power Transmission Corporation and related units.
At the first point of the schedule, the Prime Minister inspected the construction and gave gifts to encourage workers at location 201 in Chau Son commune, Quynh Phu district, Thai Binh province, belonging to the Nam Dinh I - Pho Noi 500kV Transmission Line Project.
After that, the Prime Minister inspected the construction at column foundation position 13 in Nghia Hong commune, Nghia Hung district, Nam Dinh province; position 41 in Thuong Kiem commune, Kim Son district, Ninh Binh province.
Here, the Prime Minister directly went down to the construction site to talk and encourage workers and laborers.
Emphasizing that this is an important project, of great significance in contributing to ensuring electricity supply for the North, avoiding power shortages, the Prime Minister asked construction workers to make efforts with the spirit of "three shifts, four shifts", "overcoming the sun and overcoming the rain" to speed up the project's progress on schedule.
The Prime Minister inspected the construction site at the foundation of column number 201 in Chau Son commune, Quynh Phu district, Thai Binh.
At the same time, the Prime Minister also requested local authorities to provide maximum support in resolving procedures and quickly clearing land; coordinate with the National Power Transmission Corporation to launch a movement, mobilize people, organizations and businesses to actively participate, support and listen to suggestions and comments to promote progress and ensure the quality of projects.
As planned, in the afternoon and evening of the same day, the Prime Minister and the working delegation will inspect location 100 in Ha Trung, Thanh Hoa; location 12 in Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province.
The Prime Minister went directly to the foundation site - where the project is being constructed - to talk and encourage workers in Nam Dinh.
Speaking to reporters at the construction site, Chairman of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) Dang Hoang An said this is an important and urgent energy project, passing through many localities and must be completed in a short time.
However, with the strong direction of the Prime Minister and the participation of ministries, branches and localities; and the support of the people, certain results have been achieved so far. Of which, 226 bidding packages are expected to be basically completed in January 2024.
According to Mr. Bui Quang Canh - Director of Power Construction Company 4, the project contractor - to speed up the project's progress, the company has asked the locality to support and facilitate the site clearance of the foundation and corridor locations.
"When implementing the project, we thoroughly instilled in all staff, from the office to the production and construction units, the spirit of working during Tet. Therefore, everyone celebrated Tet at the construction site, ensuring the progress of the entire project," said Mr. Canh.
The 500kV line 3 circuit project from Quang Trach to Pho Noi has a total length of about 519 km passing through 9 provinces: Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen.
The project has 1,179 column foundations, with a total investment of about 22,000 billion VND, invested by EVNNPT under Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN).
The project is of great significance in enhancing the capacity of the 500kV North-Central transmission grid, contributing to ensuring electricity supply for the North.
At the same time, the project also helps improve the stability of the national power system, contributing to increasing power transmission from power sources in the North Central region to load centers in the Northern region.
