According to the People's Committee of Hai Duong City, by the end of June 2024, the Project for Integrated Development of Dynamic Urban Areas (called the ODA Project) reached 64% of the construction volume, with a disbursement value of about 822 billion VND.
Two out of nine construction packages have been completed, including the completion of infrastructure on Nguyen Luong Bang Street and Thanh Binh Street, and the embankment of T1 Canal.
4 packages include: construction of a wastewater collection system connecting households in the area north of Nguyen Luong Bang Street to Thai Binh River, construction of a wastewater collection system in the remaining area in the west of the city, construction of wastewater pumping stations, construction of Lo Cuong pumping station, construction has reached 70-86% of the volume, ensuring the set progress.
3 packages: Bach Dang River embankment (Sat River), construction of wastewater treatment plant, construction of drainage system in the area north of the railway are slow in construction progress, only reaching 25-45% of the work volume. The reason is due to problems in site clearance and difficulties in handling technical factors.
The Hai Duong City ODA Project has a total investment of nearly VND 1,800 billion from World Bank loans and the province's counterpart capital. The project is implemented in 14 wards of Hai Duong City, from 2018 to June 30, 2025. The project's goal is to complete technical infrastructure, improve the rainwater drainage system and prevent flooding, and collect and treat wastewater for the western area of the city.
