Korean "foodie" Heebab comes to Vietnam to eat noodles and pho

Heebab (28 years old) is one of the famous YouTubers who makes mukbang clips (eating and filming at the same time) in Korea with a personal channel with more than 1.6 million followers.

In the latest video posted, Heebab introduces his first trip to Vietnam and chooses Ho Chi Minh City as a stop to enjoy a series of attractive dishes.

The Korean female YouTuber with the ability to "eat and drink like a champ" also revealed that the purpose of this trip was to taste the familiar pho and bun dishes of the locals.

Therefore, when arriving in Ho Chi Minh City, Heebab and his team immediately took a food tour around District 7, stopping at 5 restaurants to experience 4 different pho dishes and 1 famous bun cha dish.

The first place the Korean "foodie" visited was a pho restaurant on Ly Long Tuong street.

Here, following a suggestion from her companion, she chose a special bowl of pho for 95,000 VND. This is also a dish that is loved and chosen by many diners when they come to the restaurant.

In addition to pho, the 28-year-old girl also ordered a serving of rice with ribs, priced at 75,000 VND, and a bowl of poached eggs.

While enjoying it, Heebab kept exclaiming "so delicious" and commented that pho in Vietnam was clearly different from the pho she had tried in her home country.

“Up to now, this is the best pho of my life,” Heebab shared.

The Korean female YouTuber also highly appreciated the taste of the poached eggs and rib rice, finishing all the dishes in a short time.

The next place Heebab stopped at was a pho restaurant on Tieu Nam Street. Here, she ordered a bowl of tai lan – the restaurant’s best-selling dish and expressed her delight at seeing the pho served with lots of green onions and fried garlic.

Heebab tasted the first broth and was surprised by the delicious flavor, unlike the pho she had tried before. “The noodles here are thinner than the previous restaurant and very smooth,” she commented.

The female YouTuber also quickly finished the bowl of pho she ordered, slurping down the broth. She even enjoyed pho rolls and egg coffee.

Heebab continued her journey to the third pho restaurant located on Pham Thai Buong Street. Here, she enjoyed a bowl of pho mixed with specially served broth.

When tasting, Heebab was surprised because the broth had a different flavor, unlike the previous two restaurants.

Regarding the mixed pho dish, the Korean female tourist commented that “the noodles are getting thinner and thinner” and the taste is quite similar to the pork noodles on Jeju Island. “It’s so delicious, I really like this pho. It’s a bit spicy,” she said.

Heebab said this was probably the first time she had enjoyed authentic bun cha and admitted that she really liked this dish.

After visiting 3 restaurants and enjoying 3 different pho dishes, Heebab moved on to a bun cha restaurant not far away.

She was surprised to see many Korean diners also coming here to experience Hanoi-style dishes.

She was even moved by the generosity of the Vietnamese people when they served large, filling portions of food from noodles to herbs.

“Looks delicious. The dipping sauce is both sweet and sour. The grilled meatloaf tastes like charcoal-grilled pork,” the 28-year-old female YouTuber shared her thoughts.

The final destination on the food tour is a pho restaurant on Bui Bang Doan street, attracting customers with its unique stone pot pho.

Heebab even ordered a hot mixed meat bowl, which included a variety of meats such as brisket, flank, tail, and beef ribs.

The female tourist said the stone pot pho reminded her of Korean Galbi-tang (beef rib soup).

“The pho here tastes quite similar to the first place I went to. I like the broth the most there, but overall, this is a place that makes me satisfied,” Heebab said.

“All five locations have their own charm and the food there is also delicious,” she said.
