In the list of 100 best street foods in Southeast Asia just announced by Taste Atlas, there are 26 representatives from Vietnam.
In addition to familiar names such as banh mi, pho bo or com tam, dishes with strong Vietnamese culinary flavors such as bun dau mam tom, chao long, nem lui, bo bia... were also honored.
With 4.1/5 stars, Vietnam's vermicelli with fermented shrimp paste ranked 58th and was described by the site as "a traditional Vietnamese dish".
"Each meal usually includes rice noodles, fried tofu and shrimp paste. All the side dishes are served on a large plate with various types of raw vegetables.

Meanwhile, the porridge dish (number 86) was ranked by Taste Atlas. described as "an attractive, affordable dish loved by people all over Vietnam".
"Each region will have a different way of preparing it, but basically this porridge is cooked from rice and pork bone broth combined with many different types of pig organs such as liver, kidney, spleen, stomach or heart.
