January is no longer leisurely

Since ancient times, January has been filled with festivals in the countryside. Festivals, big and small, are spread throughout the country, with January being the most popular, hence the saying "January is the month of partying". Many people postpone their work to attend the festival first.

The idea that “January is the month for partying” seems to have become ingrained in people’s minds, causing them to neglect their work after each Tet holiday. Many people even consider this to be a natural thing, repeated over time.

However, those were stories and images of the past. In these early spring days, most localities in the country immediately embarked on their tasks. Hai Duong also joined in that spirit.

In the detailed economic growth scenario (GRDP) for 2025 announced for the first time, in the first quarter, Hai Duong strives to collect a budget of 9,375 billion VND, the highest in the 4 quarters of the year, contributing to the effort to collect a budget of 31,900 billion VND for the whole year.

The province also specified a detailed roadmap for disbursing public investment capital for each month this year, striving to disburse public investment capital at 99.7% of the assigned plan by the end of the 2025 budget year (January 2026). In the first quarter of 2025, Hai Duong will start construction on 6 important public investment projects, 1 project to build Hai Duong City Trade Center (AEON supermarket) and 1 social housing development project.

Just a few days before the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday, during on-site inspections at construction sites of many investment projects, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau gave strong and specific instructions to contractors and construction units. He requested to focus on human resources and means to speed up progress, proactively source materials, increase "3 shifts, 4 shifts", and absolutely not waste time during project implementation.

On the morning of February 3 (January 6), speaking at the first meetings of the year of the Snake 2025, provincial leaders all requested that cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers start performing their tasks right from the first days and months of the new spring, determined to build a professional, modern, honest, and people-serving civil service...

In January 2025, the Provincial People's Committee issued 12 important decisions, including those related to land, real estate market, etc. Thereby creating a legal basis for implementing related tasks.

The business community in Hai Duong is equally urgent. Right after the beginning of the spring, when workers returned, businesses quickly placed new orders. Through a quick review by the Provincial Federation of Labor, by February 5, Hai Duong had more than 238,000 workers working at enterprises with trade unions returning to work, reaching nearly 90% of the total workforce.

Hai Duong's GRDP growth in 2025 is expected to be 12%, higher than the target assigned by the Government a few days ago (10.2%). This is a challenging target, but not impossible.

To do so, we must immediately focus on handling work, especially unfinished work in 2024, work left unfinished due to Tet holiday, not allowing delays to affect production and business activities. Proactively review and promptly remove difficulties and obstacles for each project during implementation, especially important projects and works.

Along with that, synchronously, resolutely and effectively carry out the work of reorganizing the apparatus, arranging cadres, civil servants and public employees, handling surplus public assets after the reorganization, ensuring early stability to organize Party Congresses at all levels in 2025.
