Accelerating the beautification of Hai Duong city

Arrived ahead of schedule

The project to renovate the lighting system of some streets in the city with a total investment of more than 14 billion VND was approved in principle by the People's Committee of Hai Duong City in March 2024.

Deployed on Hong Quang, Tran Hung Dao, Thanh Nien streets, the project aims to renovate, upgrade and complete infrastructure, save electricity costs, beautify the urban area while creating a highlight, symbolism, and urban beauty for Hai Duong city.

The project was originally scheduled to be completed in mid-November 2024. However, the Hai Duong City Basic Construction Investment Project Management Board has directed contractors to speed up the progress. The final items of the entire project are being urgently constructed to be completed on October 14, 1 month ahead of schedule.

Many works and projects invested by the People's Committees of wards and communes in the city are also being accelerated. The People's Committee of Nam Dong Ward is implementing 3 projects to renovate and expand roads in the residential areas of Khanh Hoi, Dong Ngo and Phu Luong to celebrate the 220th anniversary of the founding of Thanh Dong and the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Hai Duong City.

The representative of Nam Dong ward said that the locality has directed the construction unit to increase human resources and machinery to speed up the project progress. Currently, the project to renovate and expand roads in Khanh Hoi and Phu Luong residential areas has completed about 95% of the work. The project to renovate and expand roads in Dong Ngo residential area has completed about 80%.

The leader of Thanh Khanh One Member Co., Ltd., the construction unit of the road renovation and expansion project in Nam Dong Ward, said that since the beginning of October, the company has added 50% more machinery, workers and overtime to speed up the progress. Currently, the unit is continuing to mobilize more machinery and workers to further speed up the project implementation progress.

Many projects have been completed

To carry out urban beautification activities, since April 2024, the People's Committee of Pham Ngu Lao Ward has mobilized people and businesses to participate in urban beautification activities, paving self-interlocking bricks on the sidewalks of Ngo Quyen and Nguyen Luong Bang streets.

Residential areas No. 10 and 11 of the ward have established a mobilization team, a construction committee, and organized to mobilize households and businesses to participate in paving sidewalks according to the standards and designs prescribed by the city. Households and businesses voluntarily contribute funds to pave sidewalks in front of their families and units. Currently, the paving of sidewalks on these two roads has been completed and put into use.

According to the People's Committee of Thanh Binh Ward, the locality has been implementing two projects to celebrate the 220th anniversary of Thanh Dong's founding and the 70th anniversary of Hai Duong City's liberation. To date, the project to renovate and repair the meeting hall of Thanh Binh Ward People's Committee has been completed. The local government is continuing to mobilize social resources to pave the sidewalks of Truong Chinh Street.
