For about a week now, people in Thang Yen village, Thuong Vu commune (Kim Thanh) have been very upset about the situation of burning straw after harvesting the winter-spring rice crop by villagers.
Many large piles of straw and stubble were piled up in the fields and burned, creating large clouds of smoke. It is worth mentioning that this straw and stubble burning is right next to residential areas, and the smoke blows into people's houses, causing suffocation and environmental pollution. This straw and stubble burning has occurred in Thuong Vu commune for several years now but has not been resolved.
People burn straw in the village field on the afternoon of October 29.
Thuong Vu commune is requested to step up propaganda and guide people to collect straw and stubble after harvest to use as fuel for daily life or compost as fertilizer for agricultural production.
