The subject impersonated an officer of the Military Command of Ninh Giang district (Hai Duong) and called to order suspended ceilings and aluminum doors.
Recently, a subject named Tuan (phone number: 0817.551.999) called Mr. C. in Hung Long commune (Ninh Giang) and introduced himself as working at the Logistics Department, Ninh Giang District Military Command to place an order for 120 m of suspended ceiling and 70 m of aluminum doors for the unit.
The Ninh Giang District Military Command has verified that there is no officer or employee named Tuan in the unit and there is no need to order the above goods.
Previously, there were some people who called electronics stores, manufacturing and installation establishments in Ninh Giang district to order iron beds and water purifiers.
These subjects impersonated military officers to call to order goods, asking establishments to send photos of product samples. Then, the subjects used those sample images to post online to find people who wanted to buy and act as intermediaries in the transaction. When the two parties buying and selling "fell into the trap", the subjects would arrange a time and place to receive the goods, requesting a deposit and payment into their bank accounts.
Impersonating military officers to appropriate property through placing orders on behalf of others is a violation of the law. Production and business establishments and people need to be vigilant, carefully verify information before making transactions, and report to authorities for timely prevention and handling.
