Exciting Youth Union movement at Nguyen Van Cu High School

Although newly merged, the Youth Union movement of Nguyen Van Cu High School (Hai Duong City) has developed strongly, attracting a large number of union members and students to participate.

Nguyen Van Cu High School's Youth Union currently has more than 1,700 members, operating in 49 branches, including 1 teacher branch. In the 2021-2022 school year, the school's Youth Union launched 4 emulation campaigns to celebrate major holidays of the year. The celebration activities are all of practical significance in educating students about revolutionary ideals and cultural lifestyles.

The awareness of the youth movement of the school, the responsibility towards the community and society is increasingly enhanced. 100% of the union members signed a commitment not to store and use fireworks, prevent school violence, not to violate social evils, the Road Traffic Law. The school union organized the contest "Youth of Nguyen Van Cu High School with traffic culture" with many attractive contents, attracting a large number of students to participate. Coordinated with Lap Phuong Thanh Vocational Training and Driving Test Center (Hai Duong City) to maintain the organization of teaching theory and taking the A1 motorcycle driving license test for grade 12 students every year.

To spread good stories and beautiful actions of union members, the school's Union has established a Media Club to share typical examples and carry out the campaign "One good news every day, one beautiful story every week".

The school's youth union members also enthusiastically participated in the volunteer movement. Along with donating blood and preserving the school's landscape and environment, last school year, the school's Youth Union built a "Youth Flower Garden" worth more than 40 million VND.

The "Creative Youth" movement is also a new feature in the activities of the Nguyen Van Cu High School Youth Union. The school's Youth Union has had 13 grassroots-level initiatives. The provincial-level science and technology project with the theme "High school students and parents on career orientation, current situation and solutions" by two students Dinh Khanh Ha, class 12A1, and Nguyen Hoang Minh Thuan, class 12B1, won second prize.

The "3 Good Students" and "3 Practiced Students" movements have been carried out with interest by the School Youth Union. At the end of the 2021-2022 school year, the School Youth Union honored 62 students with the title of "3 Good Students"; awarded 48 "March Star" scholarships with a total value of 9.6 million VND to exemplary youth union members to encourage and motivate them to study better. Vu Tu Linh, a student in class 11G, said: "Participating in the movements of the Youth Union, we have become more mature. From competing to study well to volunteering, students and youth union members in the school have actively responded, contributing to building a friendly learning environment".

Secretary of the School Youth Union Le Thi Hue said that in the coming time, the School Youth Union Executive Committee will continue to innovate its operating methods and strongly develop hobby clubs to discover and nurture student talents...

According to Secretary of Hai Duong City Youth Union Nguyen Thi Le Chi, at the end of September, Nguyen Van Cu High School Youth Union was one of four school unions awarded the emulation flag by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for its outstanding achievements in Youth Union work and school youth movements. Previously, this school's Youth Union had many outstanding achievements that were commended by the City Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union.
