In the first 4 months of 2024, the state budget revenue from import-export activities reached 124,740 billion VND, equal to 33.3% of the assigned estimate, up 0.3% over the same period last year.
Accordingly, the total import and export in the first 4 months of 2024 is estimated at 238.88 billion USD, an increase of 15.2% (equivalent to an increase of 31.49 billion USD) over the same period last year. Thus, the trade balance in the first 4 months of 2024 is expected to have a trade surplus of 8.40 billion USD.
In 2024, the General Department of Customs was assigned by the National Assembly to collect a state budget revenue of VND 375,000 billion; the balance revenue from import-export activities is VND 204,000 billion.
