In 2024, the province's digital transformation results will have many positive changes. Many of the province's digital transformation indicators are ranked high compared to the whole country.
The number of transactions and revenue on e-commerce platforms are among the top in the country. Telecommunications network, internet, 4G waves serve the whole province, 5G waves gradually serve many areas in the province.
The duration and content of radio, television and press programs are increasingly improved, and news and articles reflecting all aspects of the province are increasingly of high quality. Information is updated promptly to a wide range of people in the province. Thereby, propaganda work in the socio-economic fields, the fight against corruption and negativity as well as all aspects of life is well implemented. The professional level of the press team in the province is increasingly improved, properly implementing the principles, purposes and ethics of journalism.

Besides the achieved results, the information and communication sector still has some shortcomings and limitations such as digital applications for people and businesses have not met and solved the actual needs, and the province's information security index is still low.
The year 2025 is of special importance, being the final year of implementing the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021-2025, and also the year focusing on organizing Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
In the first quarter of 2025, the Department of Information and Communications will merge with the Department of Science and Technology. The new Department after the merger will be the core agency in implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested close coordination with departments, branches, sectors and localities to advise the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to effectively implement related tasks according to Resolution 57.
Further promote the development of digital infrastructure and digital technology on the principles of "modernity, synchronization, security, safety, efficiency, and avoiding waste".
Support and facilitate the development of organizations and enterprises operating in the field of information and communications. Deploy the construction of telecommunications infrastructure and 5G technology infrastructure in industrial parks; attract investment in the high-tech sector. The province's press agencies continue to effectively implement digital transformation of the press; focus on promoting political tasks, major events, and important anniversaries in 2025.
