Embroidery products of artisans from Xuan Neo village (Tu Ky) are chosen by many people as gifts on International Women's Day, March 8.
Embroidery establishments in Xuan Neo village, Hung Dao commune (Tu Ky) have made about 1,000 gift products for International Women's Day on March 8, nearly double the same period last year. The gift products are mainly scarves embroidered with heritage images, flowers, animals; embroidered motifs on scarves, ao dai and some products such as handbags, uniforms... Each product costs from 150,000 VND to 2 million VND. Some units inside and outside the province also order artisans to embroider paintings or portraits to give to women on this occasion.
This is a new method recently implemented by Xuan Neo artisans to help the village’s products reach consumers and quickly meet market demand. On this occasion, some artisans also went to schools to teach students how to embroider scarves to give to teachers, grandmothers, sisters, and mothers.
The embroidery profession in Hung Dao has existed for a long time with many unique traditional handicraft products. Currently, the whole commune has about 200 embroiderers. The products have been exported to Japan, Korea, etc.
