Purple color of sim flowers on the hillside of Chi Linh

In early May, sim flowers on many hillsides in Chi Linh City bloomed, covering the landscape with a poetic purple color. Currently, this type of tree is not only used to create landscapes but is also grown by people for economic development.

Chi Linh city has more than 30 hectares of blackberry trees, concentrated in the communes and wards of Hoang Tien, Bac An, Hoang Hoa Tham, and Le Loi.

Chi Linh City is the only locality in the province that grows sim trees.

People do not let sim grow naturally but develop it into an economic production model.

Sim is grown as an ornamental tree with a selling price ranging from several million to several tens of millions of VND per tree.

Expanding the area of sim cultivation for fruit and developing sim ornamental plants is the direction chosen by many farmers in the Chi Linh hill forest area.
