Quang Ngai has a new 53-year-old Provincial People's Committee Chairman

Mr. Giang was elected Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province for the 2021-2026 term at the 26th session of the 13th Quang Ngai Provincial People's Council with 45/45 votes, reaching 100% of the total number of delegates present.

Speaking after receiving the assignment, the new Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee said that this is an honor for him personally, as well as a heavy task and responsibility assigned by the Party Committee, government and people in the area.

"I will inherit and continue to promote the achievements of previous generations; strive to study, practice and work with the highest ability to successfully complete assigned tasks," Mr. Giang said and hopes to continue to receive attention and direction from leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, Government and Central Committees, ministries and branches.

Previously, on July 31, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang was presented by Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Hoang Dang Quang with the decision of the Secretariat on the transfer and appointment to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025; introduced to the Provincial People's Council to be elected as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, term 2021-2026.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang, 53 years old, is from Truong Tho commune, An Lao district, Hai Phong city. He has a doctorate in economics. The new Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province used to be Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Hai Phong. After that, he worked as Deputy Director of the Economic Department - Office of the Central Party Committee; Director, Secretary of the Politburo, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee. Since 2014, Mr. Giang has been the Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province.

In mid-2020, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang was appointed as Deputy Minister of Science and Technology. During his tenure at the Ministry, he was assigned to direct the development and implementation of legal documents, mechanisms, and policies in the fields of science and technology of localities; and to be in charge of press and publishing work.
