Dismissal of Mr. Dang Van Minh from the position of Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee

On the morning of May 6, the 13th Quang Ngai Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, held the 23rd Session (special).

At the meeting, the provincial People's Council delegates discussed and voted to pass the Resolution on the dismissal of the 13th Provincial People's Council delegate, term 2021-2026, and the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, term 2021-2026 for Mr. Dang Van Minh because he was disciplined and expelled from the Party and arrested in March 2024 for bribery.

The People's Council of Quang Ngai province discussed and voted to pass the following Resolutions: supplementing the revenue and expenditure estimates for 2024 from foreign non-refundable aid with an amount of more than 19 billion VND; Public investment plan for 2024 to implement the National Target Program on new rural construction and a number of other programs and projects (phase 3); approving the policy of changing the purpose of using rice-growing land to other purposes in Quang Ngai province...

Speaking at the closing session, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Bui Thi Quynh Van requested the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies, units and localities to review the progress of key projects and works in the province in conjunction with the public investment plan and budgetary management.

Regarding the delay in handing over the land for the North-South Expressway project in the East, the Provincial People's Committee needs to direct localities to review the contents and problems to report to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee for direction and resolution. The contents have been thoroughly resolved but the people still do not agree, the localities need to persistently propagate and mobilize, not to delay; because this is a national key project related to many localities.

The Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Ngai province noted that voter contact activities are taking place in localities. Therefore, delegates need to inform voters and people about the socio-economic situation; especially information about the mechanisms and policies that the province has issued.

Regarding the content related to personnel work, localities provide voters and people with official information, creating consensus among the people, not allowing subjects to take advantage of distortion, affecting organizations and individuals.

Localities pay attention to Party building, Party member and personnel development, especially proactively reviewing standards and conditions of local officials to prepare for Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.
