Interdisciplinary inspection team conducts surprise inspection of Valley Beach Club bar
The establishment presented a Business Certificate, but could not present a Notice of performing arts activities because it was still in the finalization stage. For this content, the Department of Culture and Information of Ha Long City presided over, coordinated the inspection, and drew up a record of administrative sanctions.
According to the inspection team, the dancers' performance costumes were appropriate, and no acts contrary to traditional customs were detected. However, the inspection team requested that the performing arts facility ensure compliance with the law; require dancers to wear appropriate costumes, and that the performance activities must not be contrary to traditional customs; ensure fire prevention and fighting safety; control the electrical wiring system to ensure safety; instruct vehicles to stop and park in front of the facility to ensure traffic safety and avoid congestion...
Mr. Nguyen Duy Tuan, Manager of Valley Beach Club bar, said that he will make appropriate adjustments according to the requirements of the Inspection Team, including additional adjustments to the costumes, so that dancers do not wear clothes that are too short, affecting the entertainment activities of tourists and the business activities of the establishment.
Dancers perform on Ha Long beach in revealing costumes
According to the conclusion of the Inspection Team, in the coming time, in order to strengthen the management of the activities of bars, pubs, and business establishments in the area, the People's Committee of Ha Long City will continue to direct and request agencies, units, communes, and wards to regularly inspect, promptly detect, and strictly handle violations; propagate and disseminate regulations related to establishment owners and employees, contributing to building a civilized, friendly, and safe tourism environment.
However, according to many tourists, public performances with many participants need to be adjusted more appropriately.
According to Ms. Truong Thi Mi (born in 1991, a tourist from Tien Giang province), the sexy dance moves and rather short costumes of the dancers would be more suitable in private spaces, in public places with many ages, especially with many children and the elderly, it is not suitable. This is an attractive tourism product, but it is necessary to adjust the performance form and costumes to be more suitable so as not to lose the artistry and still maintain an activity that attracts visitors.
Sharing the same view, Mr. Ngo Duy Anh (born in 1976, a tourist from Thanh Hoa province) said that performing in public places helps to make tourist destinations more vibrant and attract visitors. However, it is not appropriate for children and the elderly to watch dancers dance in revealing costumes, along with some quite “sensitive” dance moves.
Tourism service business activities and new tourism products are necessary to attract tourists, but attention must be paid to cultural compatibility, especially in crowded places, to ensure civilized tourism development without affecting the cultural values of Vietnamese people.
