Along with using recycled materials to arrange flowers, contestants participating in the Ao Dai Charming Contest in Nam Sach District (Hai Duong) also had performances related to waste classification at source.
On the morning of March 6, the Women's Union of Nam Sach District (Hai Duong) organized the first Ao Dai Charming Contest. The contest was attended by 20 contestants representing the Women's Unions of 19 communes and towns and the Women's Union of Nam Sach District Police.
This is an activity in response to "Ao Dai Week" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union from March 1 to 8 to celebrate the 114th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 - March 8, 2024) and the 1984th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung uprising.
What is special about the contest is that along with honoring the beauty of Nam Sach women, the Nam Sach District Women's Union is associated with promoting the political, economic and social tasks of the district. In the talent contest, many contestants performed flower arrangements using recycled materials, performed skits with content related to waste classification and treatment at source associated with the implementation of Resolution No. 13-NQ/HU dated March 22, 2022 of the Standing Committee of the Nam Sach District Party Committee. In the behavioral contest, many questions given by the organizers to contestants had the content of promoting waste classification and environmental protection.
At the contest, the Women's Union of Nam Sach district awarded 20 gifts worth more than 12 million VND to disadvantaged women.
