General Vo Nguyen Giap's wife will be buried at Vung Chua - Yen Island.

On the morning of September 21, Mr. Vo Dien Bien (son of General Vo Nguyen Giap and his wife Dang Bich Ha) said that the funeral for his mother will be held from 12:00 to 15:30 on September 28, and the memorial service will be held at 15:30 the same day at the National Funeral Home (No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi).

The funeral will be held at 6:00 a.m. on September 29 at Vung Chua - Yen Island (Quang Trach, Quang Binh).

General Vo Nguyen Giap's family announced that they will not accept condolences.

Mr. Vo Dien Bien said he is in Quang Binh to take care of his mother's funeral.

Vung Chua - Yen Island is located 7km south of Deo Ngang Pass, in Tho Son village, Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh. This is also the final resting place of General Vo Nguyen Giap.

Associate Professor Dang Bich Ha - Wife of General Vo Nguyen Giap passed away on September 17, at the age of 96. During her lifetime, she was the General's spiritual support and solid rear. After 11 years, she followed him to the world of the virtuous, leaving behind great sorrow for a respectable personality.

Ms. Dang Bich Ha is the eldest child of Professor Dang Thai Mai, Minister of Education, Director of the Institute of Literature, a famous teacher, writer, theorist and literary critic.

During his youth, General Vo Nguyen Giap was both a friend and a student of teacher Dang Thai Mai.

The wedding of Commander-in-Chief Vo Nguyen Giap and Mrs. Dang Bich Ha was held very simply at the end of 1946. During two-thirds of a century of marriage, Mrs. Dang Bich Ha quietly provided a solid rear so that he could confidently undertake the important responsibilities assigned by the Party, the Army and the people.

As both husband and wife and close friends, General Vo Nguyen Giap and his wife Dang Bich Ha are an example of building a family together, using it as a solid and steady foundation to successfully complete the glorious mission assigned by the Fatherland and the people.

They have four children: Vo Hoa Binh, Vo Hanh Phuc, Vo Dien Bien, and Vo Hong Nam.

Madam Dang Bich Ha is considered to have a straightforward and outspoken personality. The General and his wife both come from the Central region, so they have similar personalities.
