On the afternoon of March 24, the People's Committee of Quang Trung Ward, Kon Tum City (Kon Tum Province) quickly reported the death of Lieutenant Colonel NXT (born in 1986), Deputy Chief of Quang Trung Ward Police, in his office after a loud explosion.
According to the assessment from the Chief of Quang Trung Ward Police reported to the ward leaders, Lieutenant Colonel NXT showed signs of suicide, suspected to be due to family problems.
Previously, on the night of March 23 and the morning of March 24, according to the assigned schedule at Quang Trung Ward Police Station, Lieutenant Colonel NXT was on duty and 3 other officers were on duty and combat duty.
At 5:00 a.m., the three officers on duty heard an explosion from the second floor of Lieutenant Colonel NXT's command room. They ran upstairs and saw Lieutenant Colonel T. lying unconscious next to a gun.
