The foreign ministers of France, Germany, Italy and Britain have said they support a $53 billion Arab-backed plan to rebuild the Gaza Strip and avoid the displacement of Palestinians.

The plan was drafted by Egypt and approved by Arab leaders, while being opposed by US President Donald Trump.
Under the plan approved by Arab states, the Gaza Strip will be administered by the Palestinian Authority. The reconstruction plan will focus on emergency relief, rebuilding devastated infrastructure and long-term economic development for Gaza.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has insisted the reconstruction plan will ensure Palestinians can "continue to live on their land".
