Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, was assigned by the Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
According to Decision No. 1391-QDNS/TW dated July 22, 2024 of the Secretariat, Mr. Tran Duy Dong, member of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, ceased to hold the position of member of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Planning and Investment to be transferred and appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Mr. Tran Duy Dong, born in 1979 in Thanh Hoa province, has a Master's degree in Public Policy from Japan, a bachelor's degree in investment economics and a bachelor's degree in English. He started working at the Ministry of Planning and Investment in 2002 as a specialist in the Department of Industrial Parks - Export Processing Zones Management (now the Department of Economic Zones Management). In 2014, Mr. Tran Duy Dong was appointed as Director of the Department of Economic Zones Management; in November 2018, he was appointed as Director of the Department of Local and Territorial Economy. On October 2, 2020, the Prime Minister signed a decision to appoint Mr. Tran Duy Dong as Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment.
Previously, on March 18, 2024, Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on mobilizing, assigning, and appointing Mr. Duong Van An to participate in the Party Executive Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.
Immediately after Mr. Duong Van An was assigned to hold the position of Secretary of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, until Decision No. 1391-QDNS/TW dated July 22, 2024 of the Secretariat was issued, Vinh Phuc province still lacked 2 Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee.
