People's Artist Thu HienReal name Nguyen Thi Thanh Hien, born in 1952 in Dong Hung, Thai Binh. She is famous for revolutionary, lyrical and folk songs such as: "Cau ho ben bo Hien Luong", "Bai ca ben canh hammock", "Loi nguoi ra di", "Dang dang Ben Tre", "Hoa cau vuon trau" and "Quang Binh que ta oi"

Having been exposed to Central folk songs since childhood, Thu Hien started singing at the age of 10. During the war, People's Artist Thu Hien and the Northwest military troupe performed to encourage the soldiers and people of Central Vietnam. She sang tirelessly amidst bombs and bullets, not afraid of danger. In the program "Legendary Imprints", she emotionally recounted: "I used to sing in a cave while operating on my comrades, without anesthesia, just with my voice, from one song to another."

At the age of 72, People's Artist Thu Hien is still healthy and happy with her family in Ho Chi Minh City. Her husband - Armed Forces Hero Vu Ngoc Dinh - is a pilot with the achievement of shooting down 6 American planes in 1970. She maintains the habit of jogging, exercising, preparing food for her family and cleaning the house. People's Artist Thu Hien often listens to music by young artists to learn and update new products.

People's Artist Thu Hien still has a passion for singing, mainly singing for charity, not focusing on making money. She wants to enjoy and feel life. "Although I am not as good as anyone else, compared to other artists, I am not at a disadvantage. I just hope to be healthy, to sing, and as long as I am healthy, I can appear on TV and perform. That is the greatest happiness for an artist like me," the female artist shared.

People's Artist Thu Hien often uses her salary to help the needy and her two children build charity houses in the West. In addition, she also adopts 5 children, supporting each child with a few million VND each year. She believes that charity and practice come from the heart and doing the right thing will bring peace.

People's Artist Thu Hien shared: "No matter what life is like, I am still content. Now, if I am not content, I will only make myself suffer. I often give in, even with family and friends. I accept everything. Whatever can be let go, I let go because I don't have much time to be angry anymore. If I am too angry, I will stay silent. I have good health, that's good enough. Just try to live a decent life."

People's Artist Thu Hien has two daughters, the youngest is a flight attendant, the eldest studied at the conservatory, now following the path of religious practice. "I am not sad that my children do not follow my career. I have many students, I consider them as my children, that makes me satisfied," the female artist shared.
