Many universities announce admission threshold scores based on high school graduation exam scores

Many universities have announced their admission quality assurance threshold scores. This is the minimum score required for candidates to apply for admission.

After the Ministry of Education and Training announced the high school graduation exam scores, universities announced the threshold scores for receiving application files for admission (floor scores).

Hanoi National University is one of the first training units to announce the floor score. Accordingly, the common floor score for all training majors of member units is 20 points. Based on this score, member schools announce the floor score for each training major of their unit.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) announced the minimum score for all training majors and all combinations is 20 points. In 2023, the admission score to the school ranges from 20 to 28.78 points, depending on the training major. The highest score is for Public Relations with 28.78 points for combination group C.

University of Economics and Law (Ho Chi Minh City National University) has a common floor score of 21 points.

The University of Science (Ho Chi Minh City National University) has a minimum score ranging from 16 to 24 points depending on the training major.

The minimum score of Vietnam Aviation Academy is from 16 to 20 points depending on the training major with the admission method based on graduation exam scores, 18 points for all majors with the admission method based on academic records. With the admission method based on the capacity assessment test score of Hanoi National University, it is 66 points, according to the capacity assessment test score of Ho Chi Minh City National University, it is 600 points.

Kien Giang University has a minimum score of 15-16 points for admission based on high school transcripts depending on the major, the minimum score for all majors based on high school graduation exam scores is 14 points, and the minimum score for competency assessment is 550 points. In particular, the majors of Mathematics Pedagogy and Primary Education have a minimum score of 24 points for admission based on high school transcripts, 710 points for competency assessment, and according to the quality assurance threshold announced by the Ministry of Education and Training with the admission based on graduation exam scores.

Hong Bang International University has a common minimum score for all majors of 15 points. This is also the minimum score for Lac Hong University. Van Lang University has a minimum score of 16 to 18 points. Van Hien University has a minimum score of 15 to 18 points.

The floor score is the conditional score for candidates to submit their application for admission. Because the school will take scores from high to low until the quota is met, the admission standard score may be higher than the floor score.
