According to the provincial Center for Disease Control, on October 21, Hai Duong did not have any new dengue fever outbreaks, but 3 old outbreaks had new cases.
The outbreak in Lang Xuyen village, Gia Tan commune (Gia Loc) has 2 new cases; two outbreaks in zone 2, Gia Loc town (Gia Loc district) and Phu Bui village, Hong Khe commune (Binh Giang) each have 1 new case. All of these cases have domestic epidemiological factors.
The fact that three old outbreaks had new cases with domestic epidemiological factors in just one day shows that there are still many pathogens in the community.
The most notable is the dengue fever outbreak in Lang Xuyen village. This outbreak was discovered on August 31, and has not ended after 52 days. As of October 21, the outbreak in Lang Xuyen village has recorded a total of 19 cases, 11 of which have recovered, and 8 are being treated.
In the past 3 days, the number of new dengue fever cases in Hai Duong has tended to decrease compared to previous days. On October 21, the whole province recorded only 8 cases.
Previously on October 20, Hai Duong had 4 outbreaks that ended after 14 days without recording new cases; currently there are 17 outbreaks left.
