Bac Ninh Provincial Police informed that in the early morning of February 1 (the 4th day of the Lunar New Year), the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police, Provincial Police quickly extinguished the fire, rescued 6 trapped people and many properties in Lam Trai area, Van Duong ward (Bac Ninh city) and prevented the fire from spreading to surrounding areas.
Accordingly, at 1:51 a.m. on February 1, the Provincial Police Command Information Center received a report of a fire at the 3-storey house of Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuong's family in Lam Trai area, Van Duong ward (Bac Ninh city). Immediately afterwards, the Center dispatched 3 vehicles including 2 fire trucks, 1 ladder truck and 14 officers and soldiers to the scene of the fire to organize fire fighting and rescue.
The authorities quickly investigated and discovered a fire broke out in the worship room located on the first floor mezzanine, with an area of about 25 m2.2. The main burning materials were electronic products made of plastic, fabric, wood, electrical equipment... which created a lot of smoke and toxic gas covering the entire 2nd and 3rd floors. Inside the house, there were 6 people trapped and unable to escape, gathered on the balconies of the 2nd and 3rd floors.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police directed officers and soldiers to urgently deploy forces and equipment to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to surrounding areas. At the same time, they quickly brought 6 trapped people and many properties to safety by specialized vehicles. Currently, the health of the victims is stable.
After a few minutes of firefighting, the fire was basically under control. By 2:15 a.m. the same day, the fire was completely extinguished.
