The man who used a fire extinguisher to kill his wife at a motel in Cam Giang and then committed suicide has regained consciousness.

On the afternoon of November 19, a leader of Cam Phuc commune (Cam Giang, Hai Duong) said that after committing a crime and attempting suicide, Trieu Quang C. was taken to the emergency room.

This leader added that, through information gathered from the masses and the people, before the incident, the couple showed signs of a rift in their relationship and there were rumors that they had separated. Both of them came from Bac Kan to Hai Duong to work as workers, but recently Trieu Quang C. left to work outside.

At Department of Surgery 2 (Hai Duong Provincial General Hospital), according to Hai Duong Newspaper reporters, the wounds inflicted by Trieu Quang C. are not life-threatening. The subject is currently conscious and under close police supervision.

This serious case has been handed over by Cam Giang District Police to the Criminal Police Department (Hai Duong Provincial Police) for further investigation and handling.

Previously, at around 5:30 p.m. on November 18, Trieu Quang C., born in 2003, in My Thanh commune, Bach Thong district, used a fire extinguisher to hit his wife, Ha Dieu Q., born in 2004, in Na Ri district (also in Bac Kan province), in the head multiple times. Ms. Q. was given emergency care but died at the hospital.

After killing his wife, Trieu Quang C. hit his head on the railing in the room but only suffered minor injuries.
