Vice President Kamala Harris's physician, Dr. Joshua R. Simmons, confirmed that the politician is in good health.
In a summary released by the White House on October 12, Dr. Simmons said Ms. Harris had seasonal allergies, hives and was nearsighted. Her health records included information about vaccinations and preventive care. According to her most recent physical exam in April and routine blood tests, Ms. Harris’s health showed no concerns.
According to Dr. Simmons, Vice President Harris wears contact lenses, takes vitamin D3 supplements, and occasionally uses some allergy medication, nasal spray, and eye drops. He described her diet as healthy and she does not use tobacco products. The doctor concluded that Ms. Harris possesses the physical and mental stamina necessary to successfully perform the duties of the presidency.
In November 2023, Republican presidential candidate, former President Donald Trump posted on social media a letter from his physician, Mr. Bruce Aronwald, which affirmed that "former President Trump has an excellent overall health foundation".
