Hai Duong Sports Gymnasium teaches Pickleball for the first time during the summer

This year, Hai Duong Sports Gymnasium introduced a new subject called Pickleball. Pickleball originated in the US, is a sport that combines table tennis, tennis and volleyball, and can be played in many different locations such as basketball courts, grass fields or tennis courts.

8 sports talent classes organized by the unit in the summer of 2024 include: soccer, table tennis, basketball, badminton, chess, Taekwondo, traditional martial arts and Pickleball (1 class more than last year).

Immediately after the opening ceremony, over 100 parents registered their children for the gifted classes.

According to Ms. Cao Thi Nhu Lan, Director of Hai Duong Gymnasium, opening summer talent classes is an annual activity of the unit. Every year, after the children have been trained, the Gymnasium has introduced many children to participate in sports competitions, winning many medals. In 2023, the basketball team of Hai Duong Gymnasium won the team championship of the Hai Duong Provincial Basketball Clubs Tournament. Through the summer talent classes, many athletes have been selected and trained to pursue a professional career.

To prepare for this year's summer sports classes, Hai Duong Gymnasium has carefully prepared everything from facilities to training content. The coaches and instructors are experienced people, many of whom are coaches leading professional sports teams in Hai Duong.
