Tennis player Nguyen Thuy Linh defeated Japan's Asuka Takahashi 2-1 in the final to win the Vietnam International Challenger 2023.
On the afternoon of March 26, Nguyen Thuy Linh entered the final match of Vietnam International Challenger 2023 against Japanese opponent Asuka Takahashi, the player who defeated the Vietnamese athlete at Thailand International Challenger.
With the enthusiastic cheers of the home crowd, Nguyen Thuy Linh started the game relatively well. Although Linh's net shots and drop shots lacked feeling, on the other side of the battle line, Asuka Takahashi was the one who made more mistakes.

In the deciding set, Nguyen Thuy Linh regained her form, using her signature moves to continuously lead Asuka Takahashi. At one point, Linh led the Japanese player by 9 points.
As the set progressed, Nguyen Thuy Linh played better and better, scoring points continuously. At the end of set 3, Nguyen Thuy Linh won with a score of 21-12 against the Japanese player.
In the end, Nguyen Thuy Linh won 2-1 with the scores of 21-7, 15-21 and 21-12 to become the champion at Vietnam International Challenger 2023.
