Paris Olympics 2024: Waiting for the brilliance of Huy Hoang and Nguyen Thuy Linh

At the 2024 Olympics, Nguyen Huy Hoang will compete in his two favorite events: the 1,500m freestyle and the 800m freestyle. The coaching staff said that Nguyen Huy Hoang's spirit is stable and the swimmer from Quang Binh is determined to surpass his own limits at this Olympics.

Among the 16 Vietnamese athletes participating in the Paris Olympics, Huy Hoang is one of the players who received long-term professional training in Hungary before officially competing in France. Huy Hoang's training place is where the Vietnamese swimming team practiced in preparation for the 31st SEA Games, 32nd SEA Games and 19th ASIAD.

Every day, the coaching staff closely follows Huy Hoang's training in Hungary to prepare for the Olympic goal. The technical parameters during the training of the Quang Binh athlete are reported in detail, and basically Huy Hoang's indicators and mentality are performing well.

To win the bronze medal at the 19th ASIAD and qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics, Huy Hoang has gone through a very hard and harsh training and competition process. Along with swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang, tennis player Nguyen Thuy Linh is also full of confidence entering the competition at this Olympics. The common point between these two athletes is that they both have experience competing in the world's most fierce arena.

Nguyen Thuy Linh is in Group K and will compete with Beiwen Zhang (USA, ranked 11th in the world) and Tiffany Ho (Australia, ranked 82nd in the world). In October 2023, Nguyen Thuy Linh made a dramatic comeback to defeat Beiwen Zhang 2-1 (17-21, 21-12, 24-22) at the Finland international tournament.

At this time, Beiwen Zhang is 34 years old, 7 years older than Nguyen Thuy Linh, and the chance of victory for the Vietnamese player is relatively clear. With Tiffany Ho, in March 2024, Nguyen Thuy Linh defeated Tiffany Ho 2-0 (21-10, 21-9) in the first round of the women's singles of the Spanish Masters.
