Female artilleryman Nguyen Thi Hang in Tan Quang village, Quang Khai commune (Tu Ky, Hai Duong) won the 'fireworks queen' award at the traditional land fireworks exchange in Tu Ky district.
On the afternoon of February 9, Tu Ky district organized the 7th traditional clay fireworks exchange in 2025.
This year's clay artillery exchange attracted more than 100 artillerymen from 4 communes: Minh Duc, Quang Khai, Dai Hop and Dan An.
Minh Duc and Quang Khai communes compete in the large artillery event; Dan An and Dai Hop communes compete in the small artillery event.
Each team will compete in 3 strings of fireworks (also known as rounds). In each string of fireworks, each team will be able to sow 27 fireworks, the competition time is 45 minutes. The team with the longest total length of fireworks will win.
This year, many female gunners in the district participated, attracting a large number of people to watch and cheer.
As a result, in the large artillery category, the Organizing Committee awarded first prize to Minh Duc commune team, second prize to Quang Khai commune team. In the small artillery category, first prize went to Dai Hop commune, second prize went to Dan An commune.
Gunners Pham Van Thanh (Minh Duc commune) and Vu Van Nghiep (Quang Khai commune) both won the “cannon king” award. Gunner Nguyen Thi Hang in Quang Khai commune won the “cannon queen” award.
The Tu Ky district firecracker exchange is held annually at the beginning of the new year.
