The first working day of the 10th Central Conference (term XIII)

In the morning, the Party Central Committee worked at the Hall.

Comrade Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member and Prime Minister, chaired the meeting on behalf of the Politburo.

The Central Committee took a minute to commemorate compatriots and soldiers who died and sacrificed, and donated to support compatriots affected by the recent storm No. 3.

Comrade Luong Cuong, Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat, on behalf of the Politburo, reported on the Program of the 10th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee.

General Secretary and President To Lam chaired and delivered the opening speech at the Conference.

After the opening session, the Party Central Committee worked in groups to discuss the draft Political Report to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress; and the Summary Report on a number of theoretical and practical issues on the socialist-oriented renovation process in Vietnam over the past 40 years.

In the afternoon, the Party Central Committee worked in groups to discuss the draft Report on the assessment of 5 years of implementing the 10-year Socio-Economic Development Strategy 2021 - 2030, directions and tasks for socio-economic development in the 5-year period 2026 - 2030; the draft Report on the assessment of the implementation of the Socio-Economic Development Plan in 2024, the expected Socio-Economic Development Plan in 2025; the Report on the assessment of the implementation of the State budget in 2024, the State budget estimate in 2025; the 3-year State budget - financial plan 2025 - 2027; the policy of the Investment Project on the construction of the North - South high-speed railway.

In the evening, the Party Central Committee worked in discussion groups on the Summary of the personnel work of the 13th Party Central Committee and the direction of personnel work of the 14th Party Central Committee; the Project to amend and supplement Decision No. 244-QD/TW, dated June 9, 2014 of the 11th Party Central Committee on promulgating the Election Regulations within the Party; the draft Report summarizing the work of Party building and implementation of the Party Charter to be submitted to the 14th Party Congress.
