According to the Provincial Farmers' Association, households participating in the model "Professional Farmers' Association for Safe Production and Consumption of Pear Guava" in Dong Cam commune earn an average profit of 4.6 million VND/sao/crop, 1 million VND/sao/crop higher than guava growing households not participating in the association.

That is the result of the evaluation of the implementation of the model "Professional Farmers' Association for Safe Production and Consumption of Pear Guava" in Dong Cam commune organized by the Provincial Farmers' Association on November 3. Members of the Provincial Farmers' Association were trained in guava production and consumption techniques, provided with documents guiding the technical process of production, prevention of diseases on guava trees, and supported with traceability stamps...

This is one of two models of professional farmers' associations established by the Provincial Farmers' Association in May 2023. This model has 32 members from Dong Xa Nam village (Dong Cam commune), growing 5.27 hectares of guava, the guava trees are 2 years old. Up to now, the guava area has given a stable yield of 1.5 - 2 tons/sao/batch, the selling price is from 7,000 - 17,000/kg, depending on the time. Thanks to the application of techniques, farmers can harvest 2-3 batches of guava/year.
