According to Hai Duong City's plan for high-quality 6th grade enrollment, as in the previous school year, in the 2023-2024 school year, Le Quy Don Secondary School will enroll 5 high-quality 6th grade classes with 200 students, Binh Minh Secondary School will enroll 4 classes with 160 students, and Vo Thi Sau Secondary School will enroll 3 classes with 120 students.
Each student can only register for 1 high-quality grade 6 wish at 1 of the 3 schools above. The time to receive application documents is from June 2-4. On June 11, students will take the aptitude test, expected at Ngoc Chau Primary School and Ngoc Chau Secondary School. The time to receive application documents and take the aptitude test is 1 day earlier than the previous school year.
Candidates will take a competency test covering knowledge of two subjects: mathematics and Vietnamese (60 minutes, 20-point scale, of which 10 points are for mathematics and 10 points are for Vietnamese) in the form of objective multiple-choice tests combined with essays. The test content is part of the primary education program, mainly in the 4th and 5th grade programs.
Based on the total score of the aptitude test and priority points (if any), schools will consider from high to low until the quota is met.
In the 2022-2023 school year, Hai Duong City has more than 1,200 students applying to the above 3 schools. The admission score for Le Quy Don Secondary School is the highest at 15.5 points, Vo Thi Sau Secondary School is 15 points, and Binh Minh Secondary School is 14.75 points.
