At least one person was killed and 15 wounded in a US airstrike on a residential building on the outskirts of Yemen's capital Sanaa that Washington said was linked to the Houthi movement.
The Houthi-controlled al-Masirah TV station reported that preliminary figures from local health authorities showed that the airstrike occurred in Asr, a western suburb of Sanaa. Among the injured were three children and two women.
Locals described the airstrike as "very intense", saying rescue teams were still searching under the rubble for possible survivors.
The US military has not yet commented on the above information.
Hours ago, al-Masirah TV reported that the US military stationed in the Red Sea also carried out new airstrikes targeting Houthi strongholds around the central city of the same name in Saada province, northern Yemen, but did not provide further details.
The series of moves took place in the context of US forces conducting airstrikes on Houthi-controlled territories in Yemen since mid-March. The Houthis have responded with many actions such as at least four attacks on the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman in the northern Red Sea; and bombing Ben Gurion airport in central Israel.
The Houthi movement also announced that it would continue to bomb Israeli-related targets in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
