At the 2024 high school graduation exam, Pham Minh Ngoc, a 12th grade student at Binh Giang High School, won the national runner-up position and the top student in group D of Hai Duong province.
Minh Ngoc's total score for the three subjects in the D block university entrance exam was 28.7. Of which, math was 9.2 points, literature was 9.5 points, and English was 10 points. In addition, Minh Ngoc had a history score of 9.5, geography score of 9.25, and civics score of 10.
Minh Ngoc is also one of the 5 runners-up nationwide in block D and is only 0.05 points behind the national valedictorian.
With this score, Minh Ngoc is also the valedictorian of block D of Hai Duong province in the 2024 high school graduation exam.
In addition, Minh Ngoc has the highest graduation exam score in the province and the fourth highest in the country, with 57.45 points in 6 subjects.
Minh Ngoc has achieved an IELTS certificate of 7.5. From grade 1 to grade 12, she was an excellent student. She won the provincial prize for excellent student in physics in grade 9; and the provincial prize for excellent student in English in grades 10 and 12.
To achieve this achievement, Minh Ngoc planned and made a schedule for herself to study more effectively and comprehensively. Although she likes to study English, Ngoc is very eager to learn, studies well and is good at all subjects.
Minh Ngoc plans to study at the University of Foreign Languages - Hanoi National University, with the hope of becoming an English teacher in the future.

Ms. Pham Thi Thuy, an English teacher at Binh Giang High School, said she was very happy and proud of Ngoc's achievements. However, teachers and friends were not too surprised because they knew her academic ability. Before entering high school, Ngoc was on the physics team at Vu Huu Middle School. However, in 10th grade, she began to love English and quickly showed her talent for learning English.
"The most impressive thing about this petite student is that she is eager to learn, not afraid of difficulties, and often asks teachers for documents and questions," said Ms. Thuy.
