High phone charges when calling online support

When the power supply of my house was broken, I searched on Google for the contact phone number to report the problem. I typed in the keyword “Hai Duong electricity phone number” and the first result I got was the website timkiemtrogiup.com, with the line “Hai Duong electricity phone number - staff on duty 24/7” prominently below.

I clicked on the website and saw the phone number 1900252509, with the caption “Online support hotline” below. After calling this number, I was informed that the fee was 8,000 VND/minute. Although I was a bit skeptical about the high fee, I still tried to talk to the operator about my need for electrical repair support. After a rather roundabout exchange, the operator instructed me to call 19006769. This is the customer care hotline of Northern Electricity, with a fee of only 1,000 VND/minute. So I had to pay a high fee just to be directed to another public phone number.

Later, when I tried searching again using the above method, I always saw the above website displayed first and gave results of many different phone numbers with the same prefix of switchboard 1900. When calling these numbers, the common fee is 8,000 VND/minute. It is worth mentioning that the websites of these types of switchboards always know how to display at the top according to search needs, making it very easy for users to get confused.
