GS666 rice yield reaches over 83 quintals/ha, suitable for Hai Duong's cultivation conditions. This is a high-yield rice variety, suitable for concentrated commodity production.

GS666 rice was first tested in Hai Duong

This winter-spring crop, the Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection of Hai Duong province cooperated with Dai Thanh Joint Stock Company (Bac Giang) to test-plant 2.7 hectares of GS666 rice in Hung Long commune (Ninh Giang). This is the first crop of GS666 rice planted in Hai Duong.

According to the assessment of the provincial Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection, GS666 rice variety is a short-term purebred rice variety, resistant to blast, sheath blight, leaf blight, leaf roller, stem borer, and brown planthopper. This rice variety has a wide adaptability and can be grown on many types of land (highlands, lowlands, etc.).

GS666 rice has a solid grain rate of 85 - 95%, higher than the control variety Q5.

Rice yield reached 8.3 tons/ha, 1.4 tons/ha higher than the control variety Q5 (a mass-produced commercial rice variety). GS666 rice brought economic efficiency of more than 64.8 million VND/ha.

This is a high-yielding rice variety, suitable for production conditions in Hai Duong.
