Vu said he was asked to buy "Snake Medicine Brand No. 7", a tonic popular with Vietnamese people and sold at stores in the Lat Krabang area of ​​Bangkok.

According to Vu's testimony, he contacted another tour guide named "Tiger" to contact Ms. Lan and deliver the drugs to the hotel. Investigators are examining security camera footage to determine the location of this second tour guide.

"If Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Lan was one of the people who bought the poison, she would be another suspect in this poisoning case," a Thai source said.

The investigation agency also questioned Mr. Hung, Ms. Lan's husband, for 5 hours. Mr. Hung said he had separated from Ms. Lan and they were currently living separately. He did not know about his wife's business. However, before Ms. Lan died, he had a video call with his wife.

According to Thai investigators, Ms. Lan's husband, a businessman, called the tour guide and asked to exchange money for his wife's sister, who then returned to Vietnam on July 10.

Vu exchanged 70 million VND for about 90,000 baht and then gave the money to Ms. Lan's sister, who had been with Dang Van Hung, one of the six people who later died. The source said that after receiving the money, Ms. Lan's sister returned to Da Nang the next day.

On July 16, Thai police announced that they had found six guests, including four Vietnamese and two Vietnamese-Americans, dead in a hotel room in Bangkok. The cause of death was determined to be poisoning.
