Team Commanders Honored as National Outstanding Team Commanders

This morning, August 18, the 4th National Excellent Team Commander Award Ceremony - 2023 honored 207 excellent Team Commanders selected from 63 provinces and cities across the country. Of these, 177 were awarded the title of National Excellent Team Commander, 30 were awarded the title of National Excellent Team Commander.

The commendation ceremony is the main activity in the series of activities of the National Excellent Team Leader Festival Program organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Central Council of the Young Pioneers in Hanoi from August 16 to 18.

The Excellent Team Leader Festival is an activity directed by the Central Team Council and organized every 5 years. In the 2022-2023 school year, from the team level to the provincial level, the Excellent Team Leader Competition took place enthusiastically, from which the most outstanding faces were selected to return to Hanoi to attend the National Festival.

They are all young faces who not only have outstanding achievements in the Youth Union but also constantly strive in their studies and achieve high results.

Team Commanders Honored as National Team Leaders

Le Quang Vinh (class 9A3, Cuu Long Primary and Secondary School, Luong Son District, Hoa Binh Province) won first prize in the Provincial Excellent Team Leadership Festival; Bronze medal in the National Internet English Olympiad; first prize in the Internet English Olympiad, and third prize in the Provincial Excellent Student Competition.

Bui Linh Quan (class 9D1, Ly Tu Trong Secondary School, Kroong No District, Dak Nong Province) won third prize in the Provincial Team Leadership Festival; silver prize in the National Math Olympiad. In the provincial excellent student competition, Quan won gold prizes in all three categories: English Math, Vietnamese Math, Violympic Physics and third prize in Science and Technology.

Student Truong Thi Anh Thu (class 9A5, Phan Van Tri Secondary School, Vi Thanh City, Hau Giang Province) won first prize in the Provincial Excellent Team Leader Festival, first prize in the Children's and Youth Creativity Contest, first prize in "Young Informatics", and second prize in "Scientific Research" at the city level.

Dang Cat Tien (class 8/3, Thai Nguyen Secondary School, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province) is in the top 30 best Team Commanders nationwide at the 2022 National Children's House Festival; first prize in the English Contest for Team Commanders, second prize in the Provincial Reading Culture Ambassador.

To become an excellent student is difficult, but to be excellent in all aspects, actively participate in Team activities and excel in movement activities is even more admirable for good Team leaders. Dang Cat Tien said that the most important "secret" is to have a plan, to know how to arrange time reasonably to balance between subjects, between studying and Team activities.

Seamphore Flag Team Leaders

Cat Tien quoted the famous saying “don't just work hard; think smart, work smart” – not working harder but working smarter. Besides, Cat Tien believes that passion and effort are also needed.

Emotionally sharing at the ceremony, Tran Nguyen Uyen Nghi from class 9A9, Saigon Practical High School, Ho Chi Minh City said that this year she will be out of the Team age and therefore, this Excellent Team Leader Festival will be Nghi's last journey as a member of the Young Pioneer Team.

“The program made me realize that I have reached a very beautiful age, helping me become stronger, more confident, develop my good qualities, gain new skills and connect with more friends,” Nghi said emotionally.

Not only having impressive academic achievements, the Team leaders also made the entire ceremony hall explode with excitement when they demonstrated their talents in many aspects with performances of dancing, singing, rapping, dancing, martial arts...

Previously, on August 16 and 17, the national excellent team leaders participated in many meaningful and useful activities such as holding a ceremony to report achievements and visit Uncle Ho's mausoleum, performing a Seamphore flag performance (signaling messages using flags) to set a Vietnamese record, participating in exciting games and competitions...

The 4th National Excellent Team Leader Festival 2023 has successfully concluded and once again affirmed the talent, enthusiasm, and efforts of excellent team leaders, the "leading birds" of children across the country, affirming the belief in the young generation, the future owners of the country./.
