At CES 2024, HP refreshed both its 14-inch and 16-inch Spectre x360 2-in-1 laptops to coincide with the launch of Intel's 14th-generation CPU lineup.

According to HP's introduction, the Spectre x360 2024 offers the ultimate personalized experience, flexible for active life.

While the new 14-inch Spectre x360 gets more significant changes on the outside, the 16-inch model is more or less the same as the 2023 version visually with only minor external differences.

The way to tell the Spectre x360 16 2023 and 2024 versions apart is the absence of a MicroSD card slot on the latest version. Other port options are the same, albeit rearranged.

In terms of hardware, HP equips the Spectre x360 with an Intel Core Ultra processor and a GeForce RTX 4050 graphics card (GPU). Display options have also changed from a variable refresh rate of 60Hz to 120Hz as standard. Along with a Special Processing Unit (NPU) for AI tasks to provide advanced technology, performing multi-tasking work such as editing photos, videos and creating content quickly and efficiently.

However, in return, the native resolution of the display options on the Spectre x360 2024 has been reduced compared to the 2023 option.

In addition to the GPU, the Spectre x360 also features a sharp 9 MP camera with adaptive lighting for clear video calls day or night; a dedicated AI chip provides built-in security features including the ability to automatically lock when the user leaves, and notify the user when being peeked, or the feature to automatically dim the screen to save energy when the user turns away.

Automatic performance optimization adjusts fan noise based on running applications, laptop location, and battery status.

The new Spectre x360 is the first PC to feature Poly audio tuning, delivering incredibly clear, crisp audio through effects on Windows Studio.
