Kinh Mon organized 2 sports tournaments on the same day to celebrate the town being recognized as a type III urban area.

On the morning of December 8, the 2024 Kinh Mon Town Traditional Cross-Country Race closed.

The organizing committee awarded the first prize to Kinh Mon II High School and An Phu Secondary School.

The first team prizes went to An Phu Secondary School (children category); Thuong Quan Secondary School (teenager category); Tran Quang Khai High School (youth category).

The first prize for female youth belongs to athlete Le Thanh Dung (Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education); the first prize for male youth belongs to athlete Tran Nguyen Tien Dat (Hien Thanh Secondary School); athlete To Tran Khanh Duyen (Hiep Son Secondary School) won the first prize for female youth; athlete Le Tien Duy won the first prize for male youth; the first prize for female children and the first prize for male children were respectively awarded to athletes Phung Phuong Uyen (An Phu Secondary School) and Nguyen Khanh Ngoc (Pham Thai Secondary School).

The tournament opened and took place in the morning of the same day with the participation of nearly 300 athletes (equivalent to 2023) from secondary schools, high schools, and Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers in the town.

Athletes compete in the following events: children (11 years old and under) male and female run 2,000 m; teenagers (15 years old and under) male and female run 3,000 m; youth (16 years old and over) male run 5,000 m, female run 3,000 m.

The tournament is organized annually by the People's Committee of Kinh Mon town to promote the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" to improve health and physical strength for all classes of people, especially young people, teenagers and children. Thereby, selecting excellent athletes for the town's team to participate in the Hai Duong province cross-country race in 2024.

* On the same morning, the Kinh Mon 2024 Women's Football Tournament closed and awarded prizes at Luu Ha football field, An Luu ward.

The organizers awarded first prize to the team from Hiep Son ward.

The team from Minh Hoa commune and Hien Thanh ward won second and third prizes respectively. The remaining teams from the communes and wards of Hiep An, An Luu, Bach Dang, Long Xuyen, Minh Tan, and Quang Thanh won consolation prizes.

The organizers awarded the best goalkeeper prize to Tran Thi Thanh; the prize for the player with the most goals was given to player Duong Anh Hong, from the Hiep Son ward team.

The tournament was organized by the Women's Union of Kinh Mon town from December 7. There were 126 athletes from 9 communes and wards participating. The teams had 7 people, drawn into 3 groups to compete in a round-robin. The teams gave good matches, beautiful moves in the spirit of fun and solidarity.
