In the 10 years from 2012 to 2022, Kinh Mon town has repeatedly surpassed strong opponents such as Hai Duong city and Chi Linh to win the overall championship cup. In 2015 alone, Kinh Mon lost the championship cup when it finished second in this very land.

The above achievements show the interest in investing in the sports movement and the methodical way of the town's Cultural - Sports Center over the years. Every year, schools discover students with athletics qualities from physical education classes. From there, they focus on training and organizing school-level and inter-school competitions for students to compete and practice. Also from these competitions, the Kinh Mon Town Traditional Cross-Country Tournament in recent years has attracted many athletes of equal quality to select to participate in provincial cross-country competitions, of which the most is the Hai Duong Newspaper Cross-Country Tournament.

Mr. Mac Dang Khoi, Director of the Kinh Mon Town Culture and Sports Center, said that the regular organization of the Olympic Running Day for the health of all people and the Kinh Mon Town Traditional Cross-Country Race over the past 20 years has played the most important decisive role. Coming to the 30th Hai Duong Newspaper Cross Country Race "Running with Sacombank for community health" in 2023 taking place on December 24, the team of Kinh Mon town is training hard with high determination.

At Nguyen Dai Nang Square these days, dozens of coaches and athletes are enthusiastically practicing on the field and on the track. To participate in this tournament, the center has summoned 30 athletes, all of whom are middle and high school students in the area, including 8 high school students. These are athletes with athletic qualities who have been carefully selected from schools and the Kinh Mon Town Traditional Cross Country Tournament in 2023. Because the athletes are students, the training time is arranged flexibly, mainly on weekends or late afternoons every day.

Mr. Nguyen Van Giap, an officer of the Kinh Mon Town Culture and Sports Center, said that this time will focus on physical training exercises. This is the foundation for achieving high results in the race. In addition, athletes will be trained in running techniques such as breathing, landing, swinging arms, etc. "Running is a difficult training sport, the most difficult thing is to overcome the fatigue of the body. But the athletes all showed perseverance, completing the training plans and goals set," said Mr. Giap.

In addition to practicing with the team, the athletes also practice at school and at home. Tran Bao Thi won second prize and Nguyen Ba Tuan Dat won third prize in the 2023 Kinh Mon Town Traditional Cross Country Race, both 6th grade students at Thuong Quan Secondary School. They said that every morning they run 7 laps around the school yard. Even when there is no teacher, they still practice regularly. "Dat and I also run in the fields near our house and play some other sports to improve our physical strength," said Bao Thi.

In addition to Mr. Giap picking up and dropping off the athletes, many teachers, parents or relatives of the athletes also directly picked up and encouraged them to practice, showing great concern from the people. Because the athletes are students, the support and attention of the schools is also very important. Teacher Than Thi Cham, Principal of Kinh Mon II High School, said that the school had just won the entire high school delegation, the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education at the 2023 Kinh Mon Town Traditional Cross-Country Tournament. From this tournament, the school had an 11th grade student join the town's track and field team. Ms. Cham said: "The school creates favorable conditions, arranges suitable study time to support students in practicing. In addition to practicing with the team, the physical education teacher also actively trains students at the school."
