Kinh Mon strives to reduce the poverty rate to 0.65% by 2025

In 2024, Kinh Mon town (Hai Duong) will have 576 poor households, accounting for 0.93%, exceeding the planned target by 0.07%. In 2025, the town strives to reduce the poverty rate to 0.65%, including poor households receiving social protection.

Previously, in 2023, the multidimensional poverty rate of the town was 1.35%. This is one of 37 Kinh Mon type III urban standards that achieved the maximum score (the requirement for a type III urban area is from 4-3%).

In recent years, the town has focused on implementing well and effectively solutions to reduce the poverty rate in the area. Reviewing the subjects and categories of poor households according to the prescribed standards; implementing solutions to support capital for economic development, livestock and crop farming techniques, housing support, health insurance, and study costs; assigning agencies, units, and localities to guide and help poor households develop their economy... Thereby, helping poor households have conditions for production and business, gradually rise up, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction.

Along with poverty reduction and job creation, the town focuses on building a Fund for the Poor and charity funds, implementing social protection policies well, contributing to ensuring social security in the area.

In 2024, the entire Kinh Mon town created new jobs for 2,685 workers, reaching 103.3% of the plan. The rate of trained workers in the area reached 72.74%.

The average income per capita in 2023 of Kinh Mon town will reach 7.67 million VND/person/month, 1.59 times higher than the national average (the whole country is 4.83 million VND/person/month). The average income per capita is also one of the 37 criteria for a type III urban area that achieves the maximum score of the town.

In 2024, the average income per capita of Kinh Mon town will reach 8.5 million VND/person/month, an increase of 830,000 VND/person/month compared to 2023.
