Prosecution and arrest of Deputy Director of Thanh Buoi Company

On November 10, the Investigation Police Agency, Dinh Quan District Police (Dong Nai Province) announced that it had issued a decision to prosecute and arrest Le Duong (born in 1991, Deputy Director of Thanh Buoi Company Limited) to investigate the act of "Mobilizing an unqualified person to drive a vehicle to participate in road traffic", according to Clause 3, Article 263 of the Penal Code.

According to the Investigation Police Agency of Dinh Quan District Police, on September 30, Le Duong signed a transport order showing the transfer of Hoang Van Tinh to drive a car with license plate number 50F-004.83 on the journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat while Tinh had his driving license revoked by Lam Dong Provincial Police since August 5.

The car driven by Tinh caused an accident, killing 5 people and injuring 3 others.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Dinh Quan District Police, Dong Nai Province is continuing to expand the investigation of the case, consolidating documents and evidence proving the criminal acts of related organizations and individuals to handle according to the provisions of law.

Previously, at around 2:40 a.m. on September 30, a passenger car with license plate 50F-004.83 driven by Hoang Van Tinh (born in 1986, from Thua Thien Hue) was carrying 34 passengers on National Highway 20 from Dau Giay to Lam Dong province. When reaching Km48, in Phu Vinh commune, Dinh Quan district, the passenger car hit the left rear of a truck with license plate 60C-345.13 traveling in the same direction ahead.

Then, the passenger car with license plate 50F-004.83 going to the left crashed head-on into a 16-seat car with license plate 86B-015.75 driven by Nguyen Van Canh (born in 1990, residing in Binh Thuan province) carrying 9 passengers traveling in the opposite direction. The strong collision killed 5 people, injured 4 people, and severely damaged 2 cars.

By the afternoon of September 30, the Investigation Police Agency of Dinh Quan District Police (Dong Nai) had issued a decision to prosecute the case and arrest driver Hoang Van Tinh to continue investigating the act of "Violating regulations on road traffic participation".

On November 3, the Inspectorate of the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City issued a decision to impose a fine on Thanh Buoi Company. The legal representative is Mr. Le Duc Thanh - Director of the Company. The Inspectorate of the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City also revoked the right to use the Business License for Automobile Transport (4th time) No. 12556 dated July 24, 2023 issued by the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City. The term is 3 months from the effective date of this decision.
