On the morning of September 6, the General Department II and the Military Science Academy (Ministry of National Defense) coordinated with the Party Committee and People's Committee of Vinh Hong commune (Binh Giang) to inaugurate and hand over a gratitude house to war invalid Pham Xuan Sao in My Khe village, Vinh Hong commune.
Mr. Pham Xuan Sao is a war invalid with a 61% injury rate. His family's economy is still difficult and his house has been seriously degraded. Knowing his family's situation, the General Department II and the Military Science Academy together with the local government have paid attention and supported the construction of a house of gratitude. Of which, the General Department II and the Military Science Academy have supported a total of 80 million VND.
After more than 3 months of construction, the 1-storey house with an area of over 100m2 was completed. At the inauguration ceremony, General Department II presented a savings book worth 10 million VND, and the Military Science Academy presented a savings book worth 5 million VND to Mr. Sao's family.
On this occasion, General Department II presented 10 gifts (each worth 1 million VND); Military Science Academy presented 10 gifts (each worth 500,000 VND) to policy families with difficult circumstances in Binh Giang district.
