On the evening of May 17, at Lang Sen Stadium (Kim Lien Commune, Nam Dan District, Nghe An), the People's Committee of Nghe An Province coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the opening ceremony of Lang Sen Festival and the National Tuong and Folk Song and Drama Festival 2022.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong affirmed that the Sen Village Festival is a cultural event of great significance in the spiritual life of the people. This is an opportunity for the people of the whole country in general and the people of Nghe An province in particular to express their respect and infinite gratitude to Uncle Ho.

Through the festival's activities, each participant will have a deeper understanding of the life and revolutionary career of the great Uncle Ho, contributing to promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style so that the entire Party, people and army can more specifically perceive their responsibilities in promoting the tradition of patriotism, the morality of "when drinking water, remember its source"; consolidating and building the great national unity bloc...

Joining the flow of the Sen Village Festival, the 2022 National Tuong and Folk Song Festival held in Nghe An on the occasion of Uncle Ho's birthday is a meaningful activity of artists in general and the people of Nghe An province in particular, offering President Ho Chi Minh folk songs from all regions of the country; moved and moved when recalling the moments before leaving, Uncle wanted to listen to a folk song of Nghe An to remember his homeland of Sen Village, Kim Lien with heavy meaning and deep affection.

The 2022 National Tuong and Folk Song and Drama Festival is an opportunity for artists to express their passion for the profession, showcase their talents as well as their desire to create, contribute, and nurture the passion for the profession that many previous generations of artists have built.

In addition, the festival is also an opportunity to introduce to the people of Nghe An and tourists the unique traditional artistic heritages of regions across the country when coming to the Sen Village Festival on the occasion of the 132nd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.

Speaking at the opening ceremony and beating the drum, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long emphasized that the Sen Village Festival is held annually on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday and every five years the Provincial People's Committee coordinates with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize it on a national scale.

After many times of organization, the influence of the festival has become increasingly stronger, becoming an indispensable highlight in every occasion of celebrating Uncle Ho's birthday.

Mr. Bui Dinh Long said that in 2022, with the theme of honoring President Ho Chi Minh and the cultural values ​​of Sen Village, Nam Dan hometown, praising Nghe An hometown for innovation, integration and development, a series of Sen Village Festival activities will be held from May 14 to May 28.

More than 650 actors from 19 mass art troupes from 19 districts, cities and towns in the province have been actively participating in these exciting activities. Notably, in this series of activities, there are many new activities with unique content.

Previously, on the afternoon of May 17, the Organizing Committee of the Sen Village Festival offered flowers and incense to commemorate Uncle Ho at Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh city) and at the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site (Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district); carried Uncle Ho's portraits through the periods from the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House to the Sen Village Stadium, where the opening ceremony of the Sen Village Festival and the National Tuong and Folk Song and Drama Festival 2022 took place.
