The 2023 Con Son Cup International Table Tennis Tournament has 7 teams including: Vietnam national table tennis team, Hanoi, Hanoi T&T, Army, Ministry of Public Security, host Hai Duong and Guangdong team (China).

The tournament aims to strengthen the cooperative relationship and exchange between international table tennis athletes and provinces, cities and sectors with strong movements nationwide, creating conditions for athletes to compete, learn from experience and improve their professional skills. This is an opportunity for the national team to practice before leaving for the 19th ASIAD in China; at the same time, introducing and promoting the image of Hai Duong province, as well as Vietnam to domestic and international friends.

The tournament attracted most of the top Vietnamese table tennis players today such as Nguyen Anh Tu, Dinh Anh Hoang, Nguyen Duc Tuan, Doan Ba ​​Tuan Anh, Tran Mai Ngoc, Bui Ngoc Lan... The Guangdong team brought young players to the tournament, but just finished third in the national youth table tennis tournament.

On the morning and afternoon of September 10, 16 matches were played in the men's and women's team events. The players from China had an absolute advantage, winning all 4 matches. The men's team of Hai Duong 1 and the women's team of Hai Duong 1 also had 4 wins out of 4 matches, reaching the semi-finals. The men's team of Hai Duong 1 achieved the target of reaching the semi-finals of the men's team event. The men's team of Hai Duong 2 and the women's team of Hai Duong 2 have not had any wins.

The men's and women's team semi-finals will take place on the morning of September 11. The tournament will take a break on the afternoon of September 11. The men's and women's team finals will take place from 7:30 p.m. on September 11.
